A new stone in the ring

Gemstones can also be re-set into existing rings. To do this, a precisely fitting opening is first made out of the ring into which the stone is inserted. When setting, the metal is pushed over the stone in the smallest movements so that the metal holds the stone in place. The work is carried out under a microscope at 40x magnification.
